4. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications, you can opt-out by emailing events@woodencowcoffee.com or using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails.
5. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, in two categories:
- Strictly necessary: Required for the Website to function (e.g., session routing cookies set by our hosting provider Vercel, and a localStorage entry that remembers your cookie banner choice). These do not require consent under applicable law.
- Analytics (with consent): If you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we load Vercel Analytics, a privacy-respecting product that records aggregate, anonymized page views and performance metrics. It does not use third-party advertising cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of you. If you click “Reject,” no analytics tags are loaded.
You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
5b. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the Website and serve customers. Each operates under its own privacy policy and processes data on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting, edge delivery, and (with consent) analytics.
- Supabase Inc. — database storage for inquiries, quotes, and bookings.
- Resend Inc. — transactional email delivery (inquiry confirmations, quote emails).
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing for deposits and balances. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
- VenVen (Wooden Cow Labs LLC) — affiliated booking and quote platform that handles inquiry workflow and customer communication. VenVen receives the information you submit through our booking form.
6. Data Security
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information
Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know: request confirmation that we process your personal information and a copy of what we hold.
- Right to correct: request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions for completed bookings, ongoing contracts, and tax/legal record retention.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you may submit a request regardless.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised these rights.
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). Residents of other states with comparable laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and others) have substantially similar rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at events@woodencowcoffee.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authority.
8b. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking records, contracts, and payment information are retained on a long-term basis to support our records and respond to any future questions about a past event. If you would like a copy or deletion of your personal information, you may request it at any time using the contact information above.
8c. “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not engage in these activities, no opt-out is technically necessary. You may still email us at events@woodencowcoffee.com to confirm or record your preference.
9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page.
